Patient Transport Van Driver

Job Summary
The Patient Transport Van Driver will provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients of SBCHC by escorting patients to and from pick up and destination, as well as assisting patients down one stair or curb. The Van Driver will assist patients in wheelchairs and abide by SBCHC’s operating policies.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum age of 21 years old; must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, a clean driving record and a minimum of 3 years U.S. driving experience.
Representative Job Duties
- Sensitive to the needs of Seniors and people living with disabilities.
- Ability and willingness to drive in all types of weather conditions.
- Has strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to obtain certifications in Certified First Aid, adult, infant and child CPR.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and the ability to maintain composure during periods of high stress.
- Ability to multi-task, sit for long periods of time, as well as bend and stoop for limited periods of time.
