Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner who is either a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with significant experience in women’s health to join our dedicated care team. This provider will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered reproductive and gynecologic care in a community health setting.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Massachusetts
- National certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of women’s health experience, including but not limited to: well-woman exams, contraception management, GYN problem visits, and STI treatment.
- Experience in a community health, primary care, or public health setting strongly preferred.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally responsive care to underserved and diverse populations.
Representative Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive care in the areas of women’s health, including preventive gynecologic services, contraception counseling and management (including LARC), STI screening and treatment, menopause care, and prenatal/postpartum care (if within scope).
- Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols.
- Provide education and counseling to patients on reproductive and sexual health, family planning, and wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team members, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and community health workers, to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the health center.
