SBCHC Expands Urgent Care Options
May 28, 2024
South Boston Community Health Center is happy to announce the expansion of our healthcare services with the opening of a new Urgent Care department at our 409 West Broadway location. This addition is part of the center’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality medical care to meet the evolving needs of the community.
The new Urgent Care clinic has already begun serving patients, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the emergency room for non-life-threatening conditions. Located on the first floor of 409 West Broadway, the clinic will operate six days a week, ensuring that residents have access to immediate care when they need it most.
The new Urgent Care department is staffed by healthcare providers who can see both adults and children, 6 months and older and can treat a broad range of illnesses and injuries including but not limited to sprains, cuts requiring stitches, minor burns, infections, and flu-like symptoms. The Health Center is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, such as X-ray and laboratory services, to provide prompt diagnosis and treatment.
Patients can set up a same day appointment easily through their MyChart, or call us at 617-269-7500.
