Assistant Director of NP Anchor Program
Job Summary
The Assistant Director of the NP Anchor Program plays a critical role in the successful operation, administration, and ongoing development of SBCHC’s NP Anchor (post-graduate training) Program. This position collaborates closely with the Director of the NP Anchor Program to help manage all aspects of the post-graduate training experience, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical and didactic education and adherence to program goals. The Assistant Director will serve as an administrative and educational leader, helping to support the Program’s trainees. These responsibilities are in addition to maintaining an active clinical practice in primary care.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an accredited school of graduate nursing; active license for Registered Nurse and Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. 3 or more years of clinical experience working as a primary care nurse practitioner required. Experience in NP post graduate training and healthcare in an FQHC strongly preferred.
Requirements:
●Must be a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner
●Minimum of 2-3 years of FNP practice; at least 1 year of experience as a PCP.
●Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, NP post-graduate training.
● Experience in education, teaching, or precepting NP students and/or post-graduate trainees.
● Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Experience working in community health centers is preferred.
● Physical requirements – ability to bend, pull, and carry up to 70 pounds, sitting and standing for extended periods of time. OSHA Job Category: III
Representative Job Duties
● Assist the Program Director in all daily operational and administrative functions of the NP Anchor Program.
● Assist with recruitment including screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
● Work with Program Director to coordinate trainee clinical schedules across various departments within the health center.
● Assist with the development and revision of program curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current evidence-based practice and professional competencies.
● Assist with organizing and conducting orientation for new trainees.
● Support trainees in their clinical education by serving as a preceptor for trainee clinic sessions.
● Serve as a primary care provider within SBCHC’s Internal Medicine Department.
Competitive benefits package. Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
