South Boston Community Health Center Wins MHQP Patient Experience Award

SBCHC is among the top primary care practices in the state recognized for best-in-class patient experience.

South Boston Community Health Center is pleased to announce that it has received an award from Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) for being one of the top practices in Massachusetts for patient experience.

In 2023, MHQP received more than 30,000 responses to this survey of commercially insured patients from across the state. The results were used to identify the top overall performing adult primary care and pediatric practices in ten performance categories:

  1. Patient-Provider Communications
  2. Coordinating Patient Care
  3. How Well Providers Know Their Patients
  4. Assessment of Patient Behavioral Health Issues
  5. Ease of Access to Care
  6. Empowering Patient Self Care
  7. Office Staff Professional Excellence
  8. Patients’ Trust in Their Providers
  9. Pediatric Preventive Care
  10. Assessment of Child Development

The South Boston Community Health Center received recognition for Patient-Provider Communications.

The “MHQP Patient Experience Awards” is an annual awards program introduced in 2018 by MHQP, a non-profit measurement and reporting organization that brings together providers, health plans, and patients to improve the quality of patient care experiences in Massachusetts. MHQP conducts the only statewide survey of patient experience in primary care in Massachusetts.
