Food Assistance with the WIC Program
May 30, 2024
Do you need help meeting your family’s food and nutrition needs? WIC may be able to help.
WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge, to Massachusetts families who qualify.
WIC’s goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women and kids under 5 healthy! But, WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent or other legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.
You may qualify for WIC if you:
* Live in Massachusetts
* Have a nutritional need
* Are a child under 5
* Are pregnant or breastfeeding * Have a family income equal to or less than WIC guidelines
WIC representatives will be at South Boston Community Health Center
* Every 1st & 3rd Saturdays from 9AM – 1PM (except July 6th)
* First Floor of 409 West Broadway in the Convenient Care department
No appointment is necessary so please stop by to speak with WIC representatives and see if WIC might be right for your family. All are welcome!
