Job Summary

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? The South Boston Community Health Center is seeking enthusiastic Dental Assistants to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting our Dentists by preparing treatment rooms, managing dental supplies, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will directly enhance patient experiences and outcomes.

Location: South Boston Community Health Center, 386 West Broadway, South Boston, MA
Pay: $24.25 – $26.87 per hour

Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts Dental Assistant License (or an active out-of-state license with the ability to convert).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a genuine ability to connect with patients and colleagues in a kind and attentive manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Compliance with health and safety protocols, including COVID and flu vaccinations.

Representative Job Duties

  • Assist Dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain dental treatment rooms, including sterilization and organization of instruments.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that all necessary dental supplies are available.
  • Prep patient charts and maintain accurate records.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including patient scheduling and reception duties.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment with a focus on exceptional patient care.
